Pavan Soma, PhD

Vice President Science & Technology

Leveraging a PhD in Food Science, Pavan brings his passion for application research and ingredient interaction to bear on extraction, separation, and fermentation technologies at Vibrant. His interests lie in developing functional food ingredients from natural sources that deliver on market and customer-driven needs—and replacing synthetic additives.

Since 2012, Pavan and the Vibrant Food Protection & Preservation team he leads have worked hard to pioneer clean label natural cures, natural cure accelerators, and natural antioxidants to help formulators meet the exponential shift in consumer demand for recognizable ingredients that are easy to pronounce.

Pavan welcomes the challenge when food and beverage manufacturers come to Vibrant to shorten or “clean” their labels. Whether the solution is something off-the-shelf or new, he and his team ensure its efficacy and work closely with our partners to bring products to market safely and successfully.
